What tree services do you offer in Ventura County and surrounding areas?

The team of arborists at Greene Tree Care is pleased to offer a comprehensive range of professional tree care services for clients across Ventura County, the Conejo Valley and into the western part of LA County. Our current services include tree trimming and pruning, tree removal, stump grinding & removal, fire clearance / land clearing, emergency tree services, and thorough tree mapping and inventory management excellent for large properties. We are proud to offer our services for residential spaces, commercial areas, estates, and beyond.

How do I know if a tree on my property needs to be removed or just trimmed?

There are a few factors that go into determining whether a particular tree needs more basic maintenance like trimming, or full removal from the property. Namely, you’d want to evaluate the tree’s overall health, stability in the ground, and where it’s located (especially in relation to other structures). If your tree is showing any signs of disease, lack of structural integrity, or is leaning in a potentially dangerous manner, they may very well need to be completely removed so as to safeguard both people / pets and property. Thankfully, many trees that at first appear problematic can be preserved with some professional trimming and pruning care. If you have any questions regarding the trees on your property, please do not hesitate to reach out and schedule an evaluation with our arborists.

Do you provide emergency tree services after storms or wind damage?

Yes! We do offer prompt and dependable emergency tree services for clients in and around Ventura County, Los Angeles County and the Conejo Valley. Having taken care of trees for more than three decades now, we understand that occurrences like storms and substantial winds can lead to major damage. As such, our arborists are ready and able to respond quickly when trees topple over, split apart, or otherwise become hazardous to people or property. Among other things, our emergency services entail complete tree removal, clearing of fallen tree limbs, and securing problematic situations in order to keep property damage to a minimum.

Are you licensed and insured for tree removal and trimming in California?

Please be assured that Greene Tree Care is fully licensed, bonded, and insured to provide tree services in the State of California. This includes not only tree trimming, pruning, and tree removal, but all of the other services we have available as well. Our arborists take each job seriously, and are committed to completing them in a fully professional and responsible manner. We follow industry best practices as well as maintain rigorous safety standards. Greene Tree Care is here to handle all your arboricultural needs while providing you with the confidence and peace of mind you deserve.

What areas do you serve outside of Camarillo?

Greene Tree Care is headquartered in the City of Camarillo, but provides tree services for all of Ventura County, the Conejo Valley, and the western part of Los Angeles County. Some of the areas we frequently service include: Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Ventura, Oxnard, Westlake Village, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Agoura Hills, Lake Sherwood, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Calabasas, Malibu, Somis, and Port Hueneme. If you are uncertain as to whether your property is outside of our service area, please give us a call to discuss.

How often should trees be trimmed to stay healthy and safe?

It is important to note that the recommended frequency of tree trimming and pruning depends on how old the trees are, their particular species, and what environmental conditions (weather or otherwise) affect them. That being said, most trees in the Conejo Valley and throughout Ventura County should be professionally maintained every 2 to 5 year period. This routine service is vital in helping your trees keep their proper structure, getting rid of any dead, decaying or potentially dangerous limbs, and promoting their overall health. Generally speaking, trees that are near structures or are in areas that see a significant amount of traffic might need to be maintained more frequently in order to keep everything safe. Our arborists will help you determine the right schedule for the trees on your property.

Can you help with fire clearance and defensible space requirements in high-risk zones?

Yes, we absolutely can. In fact, one of our specialties is fire clearance / land clearing to establish defensible space for properties that are situated in High Fire Hazard Severity Zones. We have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of local regulations that require tree trimming, brush clearance, and management of vegetation within 100 feet of structures. Our arborists will carefully evaluate your property, make informed recommendations, and do the work necessary to keep you in compliance. We’re here to help take the stress out of setting up defensible space and adhering to mandatory requirements.
